Reviews for "Bango!"

Hmmm its good but

Graphics- Just what you would want from a stick running.

Sound- I love the song it never seemed to get old or repedative.

Gameplay- Couple of bugs here like when I go to jump it will take a second between my button press and the actual jump, but that is only sometimes other times I jump when I dont even press it at all.

Concept- I liked it.

The good and bad things about this game

The good things: Its different than other games, its a jumper game, it delivers a challenge, the graphics are smooth and sharp.

The bad things: The music gets repetitive(can you make it change after a while), there are certain levels that make you have to jump on the top of the screen and you go off screen so you cant see where your landing, sometimes if i jump into a block it disappears without me landing on it.
All together:7/10 and 4/5 Good game and its bound to be great if you just work on those flaws

good

the idea is good and it has a simply gameplay. the only thing i don't like is the music...

its ok

fun but i always think it says ... Sucks? Click Space for Walktrough

Frustrating, but good.

This game is a nice challenge. I love the concept of a puzzle platformer where your goal is to get rid of all the platforms and the difficulty curve, while steep, never felt out of control. New elements were introduced at a good pace and were explained in a perfect manner each time. There are only three things about this game that made me feel any less than perfection towards it.

Platforms were bugged at times. This was especially noticeable when you just barely made a jump to a platform higher than your previous one or just missed a jump to a platform on the same level. It would act as if you had landed on it and left it when you hadn't even stood on it yet.

I really do wish this game had relied a little less on pixel perfection (especially in the challenges) and more on figuring out what to do, but I never felt defeated while playing it and certainly felt like I'd accomplished something when I'd finished. I guess that's really all you can ask from a game such as this.

I know you have said that you don't think the walkthrough pop-up is annoying. Truth be told, you're right. It's an incredibly useful and convenient feature ... the first time it comes up. The second time it's nothing more than a source of "WTF, didn't I get rid of this already?" and after that... I'd recommend one of two things: either include a don't-show-this-again option with the pop up or have it show up only once but rather than provide a link to the walkthrough directly it could show you where that link is on the game screen.

As one final suggestion, I'd like to have been able to see the level before I started. I was able to do a workaround with the walkthrough, but some levels really just needed a little pre-planning and when the clock starts ticking as soon as you see the level it gets a little less enjoyable than it could be.

In conclusion thank you for this fun game to play. I'd've felt a lot better about it if there'd been less frustration but all in all I enjoyed earning those in game achievements and feel very proud to have done so as well.

P.S. On you official walkthrough you've embedded challenge 1 on the challenge 2 page. I had to go to youtube directly to see challenge 2.
