Reviews for "Snow Wars Introduction"

Great Video, Sickly Funny.

I enjoyed the background music and jokes. I think there could of been more action involved and maybe more artist camera angles would of been better. I hate to say it, I got a lil bored of it. I just wish it captured my attention in some ways. Overall, it was a good plot.

Fro responds:

Thank you for the great review.

okay

it pretty good but i think it could of been a little better just try a little harder next time

Fro responds:

Will do sir.

Thanks for the review.

Even though this was hard work.

Lulz

Nice, the humor is brilliant, the voice acting is good and the storyline is hilarious

It seemed likt it was more of a trailer than a whole flash, but I guess thats because it had to be split in 3 (yeah some people read the comments at top) only real problem I had is that it was kinda boring in between the jokes

I'd watch more

Fro responds:

Yeah, you are right it is the trailer/introduction to the submission. I will add that to the author comments now.

Thanks for the review. :)

Rather funny

The humor was nice, if a little predictable and it gave the movie some charm, which is always good. I liked the choice of music, although sometimes it made the voices hard to hear, so you might want to turn it down a little bit. Of course a fairly low image quality is unavoidable if you want to keep the file a sane size, so you can't really be blamed for that. The acting was really rather good, it really 'sold' me the situation, if you see what I mean. As with 'Hay Wars' the speciaI effects were excellent. I felt the very opening 'from the makers of' credit went on for too long, but on the upside I really liked the menu design. Devolep the story a bit more, as this has lots of potential.

Fro responds:

The part in the beginning that went too long was my fault, but not being too great at flash I didn't know how to fix it. I'll note the music next time.

Thanks for the great review man.

Not quite there

This isn't the best movie I've ever seen, but then again, it's by no accounts the worst one either. I think that the visual effects that you used over the metal track were poor, to say the least, especially as the movie screed didn't fit in the line "Comes the highly anticipated..." It sets a bad tone for the whole piece.

When it comes to the video, the music was too loud for the voices in places, which really let it down. Personally, I wouldn't waste so much time with producing a lengthy introductory video, that keeps going to a black screen for "directed by", "starring" and all that other stuff. You can get that out of the way in a few minutes. This looks more like a trailer, rather than the first episode. It doesn't really offer much of an introduction - if you were trying to make it look like a movie trailer, get a final frame piece, with a big promotional shot, some great graphics and some things like the traditional billboard print for who's in it and everything.

Still, something to work on, is always good.

Fro responds:

Yeah in the author comments I mention that it is just a trailer for the movie, but I agree with you this really didn't turn out well. Not in flash at least. Try and watch the youtube version, which is also posted in my author comments and you will notice that the audio and video problems are fixed and it runs much more smoothly.

You can also think of it as an introduction when the other 2 episodes are played right in a row and it runs together quite smoothly. We've decided not to finish this now and you'll just be getting some sprite flashes from me and that's probably about it for the movies that I submit to newgrounds. I'll try to get 5 sprites or so more and then I'll be done.

Thanks for the review.
