Reviews for "Don't Look Back"

Tripping

Trippin game man, i loved it, but did look a bit old skool, and was kinda hard (for me anyway)

Nice

I'm surprised no review (of the few I read) talked about the beautiful music and nice sound effects.

This is a very good imitation of 1980-1990 DOS games, only you added more fluidity and sound to it ^_^.

I liked the additional challenge of not looking back while returning to the initial stage (very intelligent way of reusing some previous stages but without making it repetitive).

THANK YOU for adding a checkpoint for every scene!! If you wouldn't have done so this game would've been a rage-quit-generator for sure.

The story, although mysterious and strange, made a nice closer-opener loop.

The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the fade-in-fade-out platforms had a small bug that made the game easier to beat (if you'd jump under a platform while it was fading-in you'd find yourself on top of it, giving you the chance to shoot twice at the boss's weak point).

Apart from that, great job!

Pixels... Me like

I really love those pixelated graphics. When poeple want to implement 3d graphics even in indie/flash games it's really refreshing and nice to see games with such stylish look.
Apart from graphics the gameplay can be VERY frustrating. An great example of trial and error game. And it's great too.

That was great

I loved it. Although, the ending kinda left me a little heartbroken

Incredible

The graphics are simple yet work perfectly. The difficulty is spot on, not to hard that you get pissed off and give up, but not so easy you just run through the game. The story is great, nice take on the classic tale, the twist at the end really had an impact. And the soundtrack, flawless. The music set the mood and intensity just right and the 8 bit bleeps and bloops fit the overall look perfectly.
