Reviews for "Knightfall"

Polished to a Blinding Gleam

This is an amazing game. I made an NG account just so I could say it. I was instantly hooked and sat at my computer until I beat it (on med difficulty), which takes a very special flash game to be able to do to me.

The game design has a depth of strategy that would take years to master. Difficulty is increased throughout the levels at a steady, appropriate pace. New enemies offer up enough diversity that almost no level is like the one before it.

Music is great. Very reminiscent of the greatest music of 16-bit console games, though wholly original. Graphics are a neat retro style, not everyone's cup of tea, but very appropriate for the game type.

But, oh, the polish. These guys know Flash like few others. Everything is exceptionally smooth, all the little extras and options are fantastic. The game is just a joy to play, nothing holds you back from the actual gameplay. And the final level is thoroughly entertaining and gratifying.

This kind of game doesn't need a story, and this one is forgettable, but the knights, magic, and monsters theme is done well. Who needs plot line when you have atmosphere?

One of the best, if not THE BEST.

This is amazing. I didn't really expect, that someone whould create product of such quality and interest just for free!!! I am really shocked, but I will try to make that in order:
Graphic is really good, colourful, with recognizable characters and objects. 10/10
Sound, well... perhaps, sound creates about half of atmosphere of the game. Great music and funny sound effects are just the pleasure for my ears :) 15/10
Gameplay is REALLY addictive, I couldn't stop playing for about an hour! And these achievements... I have no words. 15/10

Good idea, Great Quality, and 15/10 overall. Thank you for this game.

Varied, Challenging and Fun

What else can you add to that, really? A nice twist, literally, and a good mixture of puzzle and action. Straightforward enough to allow novices to jump straight in, and challenging enough to keep you playing ...

Absolutely addictive

Tried playing this when it first came out and I hated it; but I came back a week later and found it amazingly fun. The game play is difficult to master, but once you do, you almost look forward to getting in a tough situation to challenge you more.

The plot was an average one, but the little opening scene was lovely to the eyes. Character art and animation is perfect. Love the sounds and info screens of all the enemies! Little things like that make me love this game. Not to mention the challenges.

The music loops were very nice, and never seemed to get annoying. Very dungeon-esque and fitting :D

The menus are nicely crafted, though it would be nice to see the descriptions of the achievements in game.

The shops between levels were a nice touch, though money always seemed very tough to come by. It is my goal to get the highest armor just for the sake of getting it!

The final boss was quite difficult for me having started the level with no food and little health (thus beginning at the same spot once I died) but in a way that just made beating him that much more satisfying.

All in all, I can't say much for improvement. Would love to see a sequel with perhaps multiple plot lines. The game play is fun enough and challenging as it is, but I'd love to see more happen with the characters.

needs work a bit

but its cool
