Beautiful experimental visions!

I loved the transitional elements, loads of detail and a real sense of atmosphere. I don't see David Firth in this at all, I see this as solely your vision and I loved watching it. Thank you! :D

Good job!

I'll admit, at first I was kind of wondering why this got front page, but I think the dream sequence (where everything grows and then sort of melts away) is what really nailed it... Good ending too IMO.

Tense and Sureal

Very good flash, I love how you created fear of the unknown (due to the boy's shyness) through the destruction of a beautifully surreal dream, with a perfect mix of jazz. The tension was built up very nicely as well, especially by the smile. You have a good understanding of how people will react and a good mind for flash. I hope to see more from you!

good potential here

now this fascinated me. i'm not going to go into some rant about the plot, theme, or substance of it. because i didn't even understand that. but the art direction was really interesting. while the 'sloppiness' of the short turned off a lot of people, if you watch the movie all the way through you do notice some very well executed transitions and effects that definitely separate this from most flash of this artistic caliber. the face disappearing from the window, the crow, the burning effects - particularly the eye, and the visions behind the eyelids were all very well done and show a lot of directorial merit. while this may not impress most, i can tell that there's a great deal of potential to be had in this, and your future submissions. if you intend to make anymore. the only segments that seemed like they could use improvement were the text and the actual burning sound effect. the text scrolled by too fast and because of the way it was written i could have dwelled on it more. also the sound effect for the burning blocked some of the music, that could have been better if it was toned down more. other than that, i think this was great and shows good promise!

Twist responds:

Thank you for the very insightful review! I would like to say that the somewhat suddeness of the sound effects was intended (along with it drowning out the music) however I definately see how it could be a problem, so thank you. I also agree the text should have lasted slightly longer.

...

i dont know what to say... it was weard...

Weirdness is bad, you must conform!
