Reviews for "Fear Unlimited Arena"

HMMMM?? wats the purpose??

i meen this is the worst review i did.....EVER!!!!!!!!!!! so ya u was pretty bad.

Personally, I liked Encon better before

I don't have a problem with the fact that this is a tribute to DMC. That's fine. I don't like the pace of the game though - it's too fast, the user has no time to think about an action before it happens. Actually, in that way, it's more like Ninja Gaiden than DMC. The enemies' attacks are punishingly painful to Encon, and they attack somewhat randomly. The guns, from what I've seen, are near useless. The weapons are essentially the same except one grants a double jump, is shorter, and is much shinier. The upgrade system encourages grinding for orbs, something I always thought was tastefully avoided in DMC (Pride Orbs being the lone exception). I played it for a while and realized that I was playing it because it looked good, not because it was fun.

And you kept, unfortunately, the major problems that the first Encon game had - battles tend to end up with the user thrashing enemies against the wall, usually midair, until they're all dead or one of them gets in a lucky shot around the sword slashes.

It's not all bad though. The art is fantastic, and the DMC feel is definitely there. When it had a story to carry it, I was more than willing to put up with the game's faults. But as a sandbox deathmatch, it loses it's flair. The enemy variety is quite good, and their designs are interesting to say the least. What this game is really missing is a strong grip on gameplay - what you have is entertaining, what it could be is really fun.

In summary:
More weapon variety, add a story, slow down movement a bit, figure out SOME way to keep battles from inevitably migrating to the walls, make it so sprites can't be all up in each other so I can figure out which way to shoot, make turning around less of a hassle.

Keep: the art, the characters, the DMC feeling, the control scheme (unless change means adding new weapon functions, which are probably good things), the upgrade system (but tweak it so it isn't so grindtastic)

needs some sensittivity

uhh really you really need to add some sword sensetivity because one thing is when you fight with a sword but you cant move after trying combos an plus you dont actually slide when hitting only whenmoving and hitting you slide i hate to tell ya i liked it so much but for all that the character needs some sensetivity.

so so

this is a fun games but the original one is better

pretty good

pretty good game only problem is i cant get the hidden weapon i have it on issue 1 and its awesome on there and issue 1 is real slow on my computer so i wonder how fun it will be to use dudagera on this so if anyone knows how to get and how
