Good game but checkpoints annoyed me

Ok, now this was a really nice game with cool physics engine and a nice maneuver system which made up for some nice WWII sky action.

What really prevented this game from being great was the checkpoint system which safed only after 6 levels. In the beginning it was ok, but beating 6 HARD levels in a row and all your work being lost if you fail in the last one is frustrating. Maybe I'm just a pussy, but this is gameplay from the last century. I think this wold have been challenging enough even if you safed after every level; or you could have made an easy mode with more lives (MUCH more lives) so even people who didn't want to practice forever could have killed some time with it.

Oh well, still a good game...

Good game, with annoying faults

I really like the game, I loved the first one two. I'm just not sure why every level seems to 5 on 1 or worse.

The check points are annoying also.

Fun, but hard

For the difficulty its set at I want unlimited lives.

Good but...

It really pisses me of that in some missions the screen keeps moving on and your plane ends up in a dogfight outside it. You can't do anything but fly in what you assume is the screen and hope to be alive when you get there.

Deducting 2 points for that.

That being said, WWI fighter pilots didn't have parachutes.
