I did say I wasn't strong in AI, it's just a 'start you off' AI, because AI is one of the hardest parts in platformers.

i don't get when you say make 3 frames i make like an animation of each movement?and wich of all 3 animations do i need to put the codes and stuff?

You put the animations on each frame of another movieclp. On that other movieclip, you put the code.
I think the action script was wrong!
My guy was moving and everything and jumping but he wouldn't change position to the running or jumping position and also I got really far with the action script but then it kept saying that I had to start the stuff from line 54 with on/onClipEvent Handler or something like that, PLZ HELP!!!

this seems like a great tutorial for someone like me who doesn't understand anything about scripting in flash, but i already have some problems. my character allways falls through the ground and i can't seem to fix it. I made sure i did everything right but still i seem to be overlooking something. could you PM me with any suggestions?

There are some useful thing that will help me on my game, but I think that you missed some words in the tutorial, making it confusing for begginers. I could understand what you were trying to say, but some people wont. Anyway, nice tutorial.
