Extreme difficulty

The graphics is great and audio is nice too. The biggest problem is great complexity of driving. I can't say I drive that bad, but cops are big, no great problem. They crash into other cars - I loose money, they shoot me (so I crash them into other cars) - I loose money. Make this less strict, and you'll get 5/5. 10/10. 2/5 5/10 for now.

Good but untested?

The game is has a solid base of good idea, creative driving system and great conrols but there are some things that dont feel very tested.

~The Money Deductions. Everyone has harped on this and i wont go in to deep with it but to punishing. the idea behind this is great just seams unpolished.

~The gameplay is repetitive. this is pretty much spy hunter but the only real difference between levels was color and # of cars.

~Are the mission selections random or bugged? It seems myself and other players have been getting missions that are way outside of our current level and with the levels so similar it makes it tedious to go back and try to go from say 21 to 50 5 or 6 guys at a time.

~Jumping, the first few times i had no idea the care was jumping, i only figured it out when my car wasn't stopping when it hit other cars. I still have no idea why i jumped sometimes but that is probably just me.

The graphics and sound were pretty good, nothing to right home about but still really solid and again i liked the idea but playing it seems like you worked the controls out but not the leveling mechanics of the game.

Honestly, wtf?

Didn't much like the fact that I was bleeding credits so heavily when crashes happened, but that's not my real complaint here. When I reached Mission 10, Corporate Cash In, I was told I'd need a planning specialist--when he'd been in my party from the moment I had the respect to hire him. So I'm stuck. :\ 3/5, 5/10--fix the bugs and I'll rate it higher.

what the fuck?

there's only 2 reasons i'm giving this game 2 stars, the graphics and music were okay, and the controls were responsitive. that's about it.
You loose 1,000 credits just for slightly crashing into a civilian car, and it doesn't help that you still loose money even if you didn't do the crash, as the police force trying to chase you drive like they're fucking intoxicated.. You don't gain any money for attacking police cars, as you have lost at least 3,500 of those credits you got, attacking the bloody thing as the police cars go everywhere, you can't help but loose money becuase there's that many civillian cars you accidently crash into when going above a speed of very slow.

To get to mission 4 you have to buy the most expensive person too, which is impossible since you only get like 10 out of the 200 things you need to get to buy him, and that's only when you barely crash at all.

so basically, too hard, you loose too much money, and it takes too long to get the people you need to get higher levels, and that you have to buy the most expensive people first.

yeeah....

For every step forward this game makes, it takes on and a half back. Using money as health was a cool idea, but losing money over stupid stuff like a fender bender or lightly scraping a car is dumb. Blowing up cop cars for money is cool and adds another level of gameplay to the driving experience (instead of just evasion, its cool to forsce cops into oncoming traffic). But again, you lose more money when you bump the cops than you gain by killing them.
