Well, ok, thanks for the review.
Disappointing.
I wouldn't really call it interactive - I mean, it's a short movie with a scene select at the end.
If it's gonna be a choose-your-adventure type thing, then I can only wish you the best of luck. You've got a fair bit of work to go.
I feel your animation was a bit slow - the movement of the bullets and the characters seemed stilted. You could maybe consider your pacing a bit more.
The way the blood 'disappears' looks odd - after shooting out of the guys, it should just come to a stop in some sort of pool. Definitely not 'go back into their head' like it seems to do when the 2 dudes in the 2nd room fall down.
I liked the blood sprays with the dudes in the 2nd room when the bullet hit them. Just redo the ending few frames.
I feel let down by this, but best of luck for future stuff.

Hey thanks :) What I've taken from your review is increase the frame rate and add more frames in between the movements (which I will do, thanks) and work more on the finishing position of blood! Thanks :)

Animation/Graphics - I don't want to sound like I'm just repeating people here, but it's the only thing that I can really think of to improve on is exactly what Bezman was talking about. The animation was just a tad slow and a little skippy. It could of been much smoother. When the blood was coming out it just didn't look like blood. Try and make it look a little bit more like the blood on the madness animations. Just doing this part would increase the rating on my review by quite a bit.
Story - Almost starts off like the flash that I wrote for you. ;) So it looks like you have been practicing and you are getting much better at animating. It's only a matter of time before you get pretty good at it so keep up the good work. I can't comment on how short it was because you were just making a short one on purpose, but I hope if you ever get to our flash that you can make it so the choices are more of the style like how to choose which way to kill the bad guys and which direction to go, etc.. I thought when the bullets hit the wall and stuff that they should of created bullet holes instead of bouncing off and such.
Audio - Again, I understand that you did this in a hurry, but it really needed some background music let alone some sound effects. The addition of this would of also increased the rating of my review by quite a bit.
Overall - You still have quite a way to go, but everyone starts from somewhere and it looks like your starting off in the right direction so keep up the good work and I hope you improve next time around.

Thanks Corky, you really helped! Your review showed me that just because it's a short, doesn't mean I have to be quick about making it! Actually yeah, please don't give away the script, I hope to get really good soon and make it in time for the next Mandess Day! Please re-send it to me if you can and I'll save it on my desktop as it is stuck in my PM box :(!
I've also learned zooming and scrolling (V CAM).

Let's face it, I'm going to be one of the so-called "Whiny assholes" that you refer to in this flash. It's too short, it's not really a game and it needs sound.
I think that with practice, your animation will improve, but you need to expand upon the bits and pieces that you've sorted out for the flash in the first place. You;ve got about 11 months to go until Madness Day 2009, so if you get cracking now, you'll have learnt so much more about things like motion tweening (You need this in the flash, to get the motion between the frames for the bullets, for example), and other parts of general animation sorted out. Adding sound would be a great idea. Do a search for audio with the theme of Madness and add that to the flash, to instantly get something good going.

Thanks. Actually I've already started on my Madness Day 09 flash, it's going to take me a while to make. Well thanks for the honest opinion, and yeah your right, I've had loads of practice and I defiantly have improved! Thanks!

Meh, this is highly disappointing. The animations are kinda rough, the graphics aren't that good either. The lack of sound is pretty annoying.
All in all, the flash looks very rushed (and it was indeed). I would suggest that you put more time and more effort into this project before submitting it.
