One of the better point and clicks Ive played

I thought this was very well done but could have had some more story to it. The note that was left in the end could have been more developed, such as pieces of it were scattered everywhere making a story. More items that were needed for puzzles would be nice. Come on, no good adventurer is without his rope, LOL JK. More timing puzzles would also be nice, and a roaming adventure instead of a straight ahead adventure would be nice as well. It really comes down to more options I find would make this alot better. However, there were many good points as well. Very nice backgrounds mixed in with the sounds really immersed you into the game. The puzzles you did have I found where fun. Those damn platforms you had killed me like 4 times, seems I hit ever wrong one LOL. The connect the dots however were boring and easy I found. And the boss in the end was cool but kindof boring. As soon as I found its weakness on my first life, I killed it on my second try. More shoot the target kind of battles would be a nice touch. All in all however, very nice game.

Thanks, I'll keep your ideas in mind for the sequel ;-)

Thanks for playing!!

A good game with a classic frustration

This game manages to follow and implement classic adventure game elements with gusto and insight, but it also suffers from two of the usual adventure game sins, which all so many of them fall victim to.

First, a lot of the stuff becomes a pixel hunt, an excellent example being lighting the torches in that one scene - I won't get too much into the details so the review isn't a spoiler but I'm sure the author and anyone whose played through the game will know what I mean.

Secondly, several of the puzzles really leave you in the dark about how to solve them. While this makes the game more challenging it also is frustrating and robs some players of a sense of accomplishment when you solve the puzzle, as you end up thinking "well gee, that was so damn simple, why didn't I get that earlier?"

Just some thoughts. Oh, and to chime in agreement with those before me: the axes scene really IS pretty touchy. I managed to get by it simply by clicking forward till I managed it. There didn't seem to be a pattern to follow that worked. So fixing that as well could be beneficial.

Some good points, thanks for the crits, much appreciated!!

flaws...

last row in the mathematical puzzle has a flaw, since it does not take in account that division comes before substraction. Also axes puzzle is wrongly set since best time to cross would be to start running when the axe reaches its lowest point, giving yourself up to 2x more time than you would get if you'd start running when the game wants you to....

Otherwise it is a very fun game to play :)

HELP!

help me i cant figure out da number thing with the astros or ascrous or something like that i cant spell it next to da panel with da symbols. PLEASE HELP!(by the way i gave you an 8 because i like beingone i havent got that far on this yet)

Very good graphics, but some of the puzzles took a few tries to complete. Connect-the-dots was definitely the hardest one. The game was fun, but I would have liked it more if there was more of a plot.
