I'm an extremely casual fan of the show. Mostly watch it with my seven year old sister, which gives it a certain emotional representation in my mind.
This picture hit me hard, even though I wouldn't categorize myself as big into the show. Like, holy shit. Amazing work.

Hahaha, me too. I don't know why we want to see these that much, but we sure want to! :D
I honestly feel like this will end completely opposite of this, steven will be the only one to die in the whole show, it fits his personality perfectly to have that be the ending, he'll kill the diamonds freeing gem-kind from their tyranny and in the process someone will kill him and the crystal gems will arrive in time to hear him say goodbye and the last few minutes will show how gem-kind and humanity travel the stars in peace making the universe a better place, and that is what I belive will happen

It's actually... quite believable! It would also make a lot of sense, he would kinda follow the path of his mother, in some way.
Just once would I like a canon ending like this in a happy go lucky series. So many twisted emotions.

Well, sincerely, I don't think we'll have that ending, but I'm sure at least one gem will shatter, at the end... This scares me.
