Great game
I really enjoyed it.
It reminded me of Ether Cannon, which i also really liked.
At first when there was no momentum for your ship i thought the game play would be too simple and easy. But really it made it fun and actually possible to survive.
Also, the enemies were smart, cool ideas for increase game difficulty and strategy. Having to adopt different strategies for each of the enemies at once was challenging.
This was all great, along with the autofire, which again i thought would be too easy but made the player focus on pointing and moving, the main elements of the game.
I didnt like the music at all. I know it was some kind of throwback to Asteroid, the old game where your ship looks like an A, but really it made playing the game feel less fun. I like the sound effects, so i would have loved a music off button, not a sound off button which would have allowed me to listen to my own music. Not such a big deal but, music off is better than sound off in my opinion.
Great job on getting a hot chick with you the whole time. It just perfectly fits this genre of game.
Also, i like how the pickups work, the way that you have to decide whether or not to run into enemies trying to get the powerups makes the game deeper.
One thing i am not sure why you didnt do was allow the player's ship to exit the edges of the map and enter the other side. I saw other ships do that. Im not sure if it would have been better or worse either way, i am just curious why you choose it that way.
I liked how the camera followed you when you moved to the edge of the screen. It made things more difficult moving down when you cannot see very far if there are enemies. Thus more complexity, i like.
Also, was there any plot? If there was i missed it. I dont really mind if there's no story, but having one would bring this game closer to perfection. Also, what about boss battles? Just a suggestion. In reality, my suggestions are often stupid and picky, so please ignore it if it offends you.
Anyway, the visuals could be better but ehh and the music was terrible, but all in all great game, worthy of a 10 in my book.
