Cliche
Why is a military base or academy, presented as your average Japanese anime high school? And what in the hell is up with the lack of discipline among the cadets dammit? And in the end it sounds like they've seen combat, if so then why aren't they stationed in Africa or someplace where they could fight in some campaign? I don't mean to pry into the entire series without seeing it but If it was a madman wouldn't he force people into giving away their young? And ten grand? That could be chump change by the 22nd century.
