Reviews for "Dropple"

AAAGH!!

The constant frickin bouncing, make it stop!! It is really hard with all the continuous bouncing, it's very annoying! SO STOP IT!!!!

well,

that felt a little weird playing that game... lemme write the review

Gameplay: 6/10 It was overall a wonderfull idea, but the physics were REALLY screwed up, as people noted. I know you must of wanted to make a hard and addicting game, but it repels true gamers away when they see something like this that was so close, yet seems to all fall down. the ball seemed like it was 200 pounds and really bouncy... there was almost no chance of surviving if your going too fast one way. BUT, i think the idea of making a game like this is good, even though its been done before, and it IS your first game.

sound: 7/10 ACK! that loop was annoying, and some people just say turn it off, but really, if you dont use the music you cant mark it, thus you would give it a zero. although the music fit the game, i thought there could of been a better loop. BUT, lemme say that the sound effects and miscelenia were very good!

graphics: 6/10 well, the background was weird, but overall it was all that was needed, you could of done more to make the game better, but in the same you didnt do anything wrong with it... enough said

overall 6.5/10 i think this game could be worked on so much to make it really good, my number one advice though is to work on the physics... really! now i would say this is pretty good for your first submition, so dont fell discouraged at all, just keep doing what your doing, and youll be fine!

Nice. Could be better.

A nice game, and i can tell that it's been very well designed, with lots of varied and interesting blocks. In terms of level design, it deffinitely excells in that department.

HOWEVER, the physics were really off. dropple didnt feel like controlling a real ball. It didn't decelerate horizontally, which just makes it feel weird to control, because it won't slow down. I would seriously fix that, because i know it's not even that difficult to do!

Awesome

Great game. Only thing was, sometimes I'd land on a corner of a block and it'd just kinda slide right off. Other than that though, the game was good, all 50 levels were pretty challenging.

And if you can't get past level 19, just give up, it gets redonkulous after that.

Frustrating Fun

Graphics: 8/10 A colorful game with good graphics. Different backgrounds would have been nice though instead of the same one on every level.

Sound: 8/10 Different sound effects for all different types of platforms and surfaces, but the same annoying music looping in the background. Can be turned off though.

Gameplay: 6/10 It's a clever idea and you always have to be on your toes because the ball is always moving and you can't stop to think very much. The gameplay is also addicting, and at the same time frustrating. It can be very annoying when your ball bounces off the edge of a platform, a glitch that becomes more prevelent in the later levels. The difficulty is also inconsistent. Is does get generally harder towards the end, but some levels in the 40s are extremely easy compared to the others. Level 50 is probably the most challenging. Some other difficult ones are in the 30s.

Replay Value: 7/10 There are a total of 50 levels and these will probably take you about an hour to complete. That's pretty much playtime for a game of this type. After you're done with those 50 levels, though, there's really no incentive to keep playing.

Overall Score (Not An Average): 8/10 Despite a few minor glitches, this is a fun and addicting game.
