Reviews for "GS vs. TI - North Face"

Good, solid bass

Wasn't sure what to think of it when it started, but really got into it once the synth at 1:07 kicked in. You have some really good, harsh bass working for you here, gives it almost a metal feel, especially near the end. This must've taken you both a great deal of time and effort.

The panning instrument near the beginning kind of blew my mind for a moment. It was very disconcerting. The piece overall seems very loud, and could probably do with a bit lower volume. Otherwise, it seems to work just fine.

Good job, keep it up!

Not half bad.

I like it plenty, In fact it's better than most of what I come across on NG, but the sounds throughout come across to me as a little too... repetitive. Much of what I hear other than the background constant is like somebody wobbling a metal sheet or two next to my ears. However, I can see many different people other than myself enjoy the tune entirely, so I won't simply bomb it because it doesn't suit my preferences- besides, I can hear the potential behind the scenes for a song I would have downloaded on the spot.

Keep it up, though; I'm sure you can impress me.

Not bad, but a little rough

Not being all that familiar with dubstep, I'll still say that I wasn't overly impressed with the effect on the counter-melody, where it seems to resonate the notes, almost making them sound like something is off with the track all together.

I think that you can certainly do something a little more with this piece, whether it be adding vocals, tidying it up a little around this perceived inadequacy or something different, like giving the melody more of a solo, where it does something different, rather than playing the same loop over and over again, to fade, which doesn;t seem to do it justice. The whole point of a solo is the musician's change to show off - that's why they do it in more traditional music.

Still, it's passable and while there is room for improvement, you could do a lot worse.

Oooh. Unorthodox :D

An interesting piece. Quite the valiant effort.

Not your regular wubroll like most of the cookie-cutter dubstep out there. The track is intriguing, but currently doesn't contain enough variance for me to hold interest. (Trying to be as constructive as possible, so pardon if I come across as abrupt). There is definitely potential here. Lots, and lots of potential.

-Less distortion .... OR
-Master/EQ the fuck out of it where everything is a little more distinct. Otherwise around 1:45-2+ it sounds like it's a mish-mash of sounds thrown into a blender.
-I'd suggest different samples, or different frequencies for some of your choices (e.g. Your organ blends a little too easily into the background with the remainder of the sounds).

Excellent work, but there is room for improvement.

Keep it up!

Nice tune

At first I was disappointed, up till about 1:08 I thought it was just another dance song mislabeled as a dubstep song. Luckily for me it changed at that point, and decided to wait for the drop which would undoubtedly come. Albeit not quite what I was expecting, and a bit late, it was worth the wait. Raw synths, which sound beautiful (good job on them) and bass that matches it just well. Improvements could be chopping out a minute of the kicks and snares + simple tune at the start, get it straight to the dubby goodness. All in all, a good job!
