Reviews for "Armed with Wings 1"

Too Hard but tis ok

its hard to beat the first boss :)

mid-game realization: to players, hope this helps

ok, so for me first boss isn't that hard to beat. what's hard is the bird maze challenge. so I've been playing for 2 hours repeating over and over again, then washed up my face to clear my head. It had the same effect as being thrown a bucket of cold water to clear things up, cause then it hit me: all I have to do is "right click and uncheck the "play" then I'd move on to the next level. I've been doing that to hard flash games for years and I only realized it so late in the game. hope this helps those who can't follow the video tutorials and are having a hard time beating the game. ;))

dudee!!!!

dude man i played number 2 then 3 then played 2 again and finished em both dude this game is sweat

well....

stage 6 isnĀ“t THAT impossible

**Review**

The game, as a whole, can be considered outstanding from the rest. I have played "Armed With Wings" 2 and 3, but I shall focus on the original.

The Good:
-This game, provides a whole new level of unique into the flash game genre. I categorized it into a "Puzzle-Platformer", although it has the beginning elements of a fighter in its heart.
-The art style is absolutely superb. The contrast of the black silouettes against the white background is a bold statement of color, as well as easy on the computer- Beautiful and simple. I like it.
-The story is also very unique, I myself am still attempting to decipher it, but I love it nonetheless.
- Character development starts out rather early, making you out as the mysterious Hero that will overthrow the Tyranny of Vandheer Lorde. Problem is, the intro cinematic is about all you get for character development until practically the end.

The Bad:
-First thing i noticed. The walking mechanics. The character seems to want to slide at least three feet even when taking a simple step. It gets rather frustrating, especially in the latter platforming stages.
-The first Boss, which I have nicknamed "Charlie Daniels", is rather frustrating. Taking me at least 9 tries to conquer him. Yes, the concept of the battle is simple, but two major flaws appear.
A) When you attempt the 3-Hit Combo to "down" him, sometimes, and by sometimes I mean a lot of times, he seems to disregard the third slice and begin his assault again.
B) The timing of his "Spinny-Whoosh-Whoosh-Blades" is completly random. Sometimes I found him spinning them in half second bursts, and other times I found him to continue with his barrage until I had to run myself Indiana-Jones style into the spiked wall. Yes, the boss is rather challenginf, but maybe perhaps a little TOO hard.

Overall, I found this had to be one of the best games I have played on Newgrounds in a fairly long time. It brought a fresh new appeal to my flashy gaming experience that I rather enjoyed. I hope you find this review non-offensive and I only mean it as helpful criticism.

Sincerely,
~Echosong
