As an honest reviewer I have to give your flash what it really deserved in this category because it will only help you by what I mention went wrong. I base this scale off of the top animations I've seen, which are basically those on the Top 50, which would make anything in the range of 5-7 a fairly average score. The character movement in your movie wasn't very great, the characters basically just floated around and had stiff movements. The backgrounds were alright and the scenery movement was being done fairly well, but the only problem was some things weren't drawn with too great an amount of detail. I did, however, love the gray you used throughtout the whole movie except for the important objects which needed to stand out (flowers, cell phone time, arrival time, and marker on calendar). This wasn't bad at all for a first movie, I'm very impressed with your work so great job here!
Audio: 10
There weren't any sound effects, which I would normally take some serious point off of here for, but I do have a heart sometimes. I realize this was a meaningful movie and even though there was one song throughout the whole thing, the song was clear as ever. Clarity is key, and you nailed it in your movie, which will greatly help you with future flashes.
Story: 10
I read the backstory, your note, and I even turned on the flash a couple of times so I could see what the note from your girlfriend said during the flash, and then I listened to the commentary. The story is great for a flash movie, and the way that you did everything was perfect. I really enjoyed how you put a lot of emotion into the character's face. It may have been a simple face, but emotion spoke louder than words in this movie. The one part I liked, and hopefully I noticed correctly or I'll sound like a total idiot, is on the car ride back you had them holding hands. It only touched me because thats something my own girlfriend and I like to do a lot. You could easily really touch a lot of people with this kind of story, and you already understand how to show emotion through flash, which is something not many artists can do - especially on their first movie.

I have seen movies about girlfriends, and plenty of them, but the amount of work and the story that went into this is something that I've yet to see. Not much to say here, except it IS very original. Great work.

An 9/10 definitely isn't bad for when I killed your score on the Graphics/Animation scale. I really feel like you did something amazing with this flash, and something that deserves to be more recognized for it's story. If you pick up your animation skills and keep doing emotional stuff like this, it will easily make the front page. Great job man, great job. Keep up the good work!

A very touching flash movie. At first I thought this wouldn't turn out that well, but I'm somewhat glad that it at a happy ending after all :) .
The graphics are quite nice here. Not very good drawn, but as you've said that wasn't your major point. But you managed to display everything in a very good way, that's all that counts.
The animations however need some more work. They seemed rather stiff, so this led the flash down a bit.
I liked that you kept the colours in a grey tone. This way everything fits very well together (some flash artist don't have a good taste when it comes to colouring their flahes ^^) and it transported that depressing and uncomfortable feeling of the first half of the flash very well. The sad song you chose for this flash transported this feeling as well.
However, I think it would be better if you changed the colours to some brighter tones and/or changed the music when the girl finally arrived, because now the feeling of the story and the feeling of the images and the audio don't go along so well. Hey, your girl just arrived, it's a damn good reason to be happy and joyful now! ;)
Also it would be a good idea if you turned down the volume of the background sounds during your commentary, because sometimes it was quite hard to understand what you were saying.

Lovely
A very heat felt, fun time movie.
The graphics were quite simply drawn, but the suited the nature of what everything was about. Nice grey tinge to everything made the viewer feel like it was a European art house type movie.
The song was excellent, well chosen, seemed to fit perfectly with everything that was going on.
I really liked the story it seemed nice. Initially seeming sad and lonely it develops into a cool mellow type movie, good job
