Very bad, very bugged game, but i will give some credit to your hard work, i don't think i would make a better game. Here's a 2.5...

I think I'll keep my Genisis...
I think you need to spend a couple more weeks working on this one. It's a nice start, but there needs to be work done on the collision detection and fix the ladder climbing.
The music needed major help, you should have made a seamless loop, not just an arbitrary five seconds out of a song.
I guess what I'm saying is... stick this one back in the oven... it's not done yet.
Why does Tails look happy that you lost?
And I had full lives but when I landed on the spikes I lost all of them in half a second.
Again some slack for being made in 2002 and being flash but man the audio loops horribly.
Shame a big shame thinking making games tooks only 2 weeks
To make good game it tooks year or 2 years not 2 weeks
Also the game controls are not Good
