Respect It You Noobs!
So I was stuck on the first world, until I finally watched your replay and realized you can hit the first boss from behind and it'll work. The camera sort of punishes you for misses.
Donovan, or rather Dizmiz, is an entire genre of himself. He creates games that only real gamers (like me, judging from the noob whiners ... then again, I'm always on pro-gamer level -> reference to WCG2003) can actually play.
So, here's my advice to everyone. When you play this game, expect it to be damn hard ... there aren't any "bugs" in the game. They all seem intentional to punish the player for mistakes.
That said, here begins my review: The graphics are vibrant and colorful, and the music is pretty good. Only boasting three worlds, it's hard enough to prevent any player from beating the game in a few minutes. The only thing I've ever hated about the game is the sound of his scream ... other than that, the game seems fine.
But because newgrounds is mostly made up casual gamers, that's why FEAR UNLIMITED 2 and this game is rated down so much, when FEAR UNLIMITED 2 should've been a 9.5 game, and this an 8.3 game [adjusted for quality measures against other games]. Sometimes I wonder what makes dizmiz ticks ... the dumbass audience of Newgrounds don't give him enough credit.
P.S. Please note that Adventures of Gyro Atoms was never intended to be a series. It was a sort 'experiment' game to test camera control and collision detection for the upcoming FEAR UNLIMITED 2 ISSUE 2 ... (which is going to be better, but harder than FEAR UNLIMITED 2 ISSUE 1 ... so I'm going to see all those fcking dumbass noobs cry). But, even then, FEAR UNLIMITED was granted a huge success to Dizmiz, and it was never intended to be a series ... rather, it was another 'experiment' game for Dizmiz's ELEMENT SAGA series. With that said, I wish for all of newgrounds to at least admire his dedication to the Flash gaming world, churning out new types of games, just to test better gaming code concepts.
