Reviews for "Valhalla Knights 2"

feels borrowed.

There was something troubling me about this movie and the fact I didn't enjoy it, and I worked it out quite early on in. It's extremely cliche. Most elements of it, from the anime hair with the one strand in the front of the face, to the 'protect her...' last living words bit..

Whilst the animation was satisfactory, and ultimately i've seen one too many attempts at anime to rate it anything higher, everything felt like it was borrowed from somewhere. it wasn't at all original in my view, despite it attempting to be just that.

Ok, I liked the movie, until it froze

I did enjoy the movie for a while. I have to admit, I didn't at first understand what was going on in the flash, considering that I felt that the first one really didn't really help deliver a plotline I could understand. This flash helped clarify some parts of it, but the story still seems quite hazy for me. The bigger problem is that the flash just abruptly froze in the middle, apparently when there was an action scene going on. It might just be me being a picky reviewer, but why would you submit a flash that you knew had an issue that severe? I was just wondering about that. If I saw the rest of the flash, granted that the animation quality stays the same and the plot became more clear, I would've given this an 8, but submitting something that has a huge technical flaw such as a freeze in the middle of a flash can not be ignored, no matter if it is a new flash artist who just submitted his/her first flash, or a revered artist such as JohnnyUtah or chluaid (aka Adam Phillips). If you submit another version of Valhalla Knights 2, and it does not have that freezing issue, I would be more than happy to review it again.

Whipe

i know you don't want to hear this, but in Norse Mythology, Odin is the good one, and Loki is the bad one. you should make that Loki was chasing that girl and that jewel.

ofc Loki has einherjars with him, so in part 3, leave some credit to me.

TY

lame...

it was boring, and the voices where HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!

Bleh

I saw a lot of faults with the first one, but I was still kind of interested in seeing where you would go with it... serves me right for expecting something from Norse mythology being dumbed down to Anime to be any good. -.-
Just the fact that the story takes more than two episodes to even explain the plot should be enough to drive away anyone with standards.
The animation is kind of sloppy, the voices and sound effects are shit (you don't even have sound effects for the combat), the comical facial expressions are really out of place and disallow the viewer from connecting to the already bland characters, and all that, coupled with the forced, uninspired cinematography really just puts this series down as a generically bad Anime that ruins great source material and splices in some Tolkein-Wannabe's bullshit "Light vs. Darkness" art style.
Also, what's with all the reviewers calling this "original"? It's about as "original" as James Cameron's "Avatar"--an effects-heavy knock-off of at least half a dozen much better movies--and is just about as deep... "deep" meaning you could stand barefoot in a puddle of either or both of these stories and not even get your feet wet.
