keep in mind i'm writing this when i'm high.
I'm a senior in highschool, and i decided to get another health class because my last teacher was shit and taught out of seriously outdated textbooks. The teacher i got this year is amazing, and we're currently going through sex ed, so he showed us a documentary showing how the sperm got to the egg and how the foetus grew. I noticed some striking similiarities.
The first level is about how the egg came into existance and life (the sperm cell) rushes over to keep her alive.
2 is life's response to her, saying that the genes he gave her are her reminder that life willingly brought her into existance, and she can't run away from that fact. The game is life seperating the cells into three different layers to form the skin, bones and muscle.
3- when life pulls away to let her develop on her own, she's scared that she's alone again. The fact that life had come to bring her into existance was comforting, but she knew that if she screwed up the development of the foetus life would come and pull her into nonexistance. The game is the blastocyst sinking through the water to get to the uterine lining, dodging germs who would kill it.
4 - this is the blastocyst getting nutrients for itself before the parasites get them and starve it.
5- the blastocyst is racing to get internal organs developed, and letting unecessary things fall off (the tail, the webbed fingers) and watching life gobble it back up. She wonders what it would feel like to fall into nonexistance.
6- she gets used to life taking small things from her as she developes, and the two become familliar with eachother. She stops thinking about letting herself get re-absorbed. The game shows how the more she gives up, the more life helps her develop into a foetus
7. After she was finished developing and now just focused on growing, life left her alone. She didn't even like the changes that were being made to her, she just liked the company. She had grown to love life. But he's made her into what she feels is a monster. She didn't want to be a monster anymore, so she gave up, pushing out nutrients and dying as she ascends back into nothingness.
8. As she died she felt life return to her, eager to take her life back into nonexistance, and she was scared, remembering how close to death she was before life had given her the sperm cell she needed to develop.
9. As her heart stopped and her vision faded, she could feel life with her, just like when she had come into existance. Life was comforting her even as she gave herself back. As he dragged her down back into the darkness, he reassured her. "From here on there is nothing, just as it was before."
(-.5 star because a lot of it is difficult to do)
