Gorgeous design, hi NRG music. It's good, no question. I particularly liked that there was an element of tactics in that you could use the pushers to get
powerups before they got close to the bottom, but it was risky. I would have liked a screen which explained the various powerups. I did figure out that S was super, but what were +/-? Also, I know you're aiming to keep it simple, so these may not fit, but if you were considering making a more complex version, I should think that other powerdowns and powerups would go a long way to making this game more fun for a longer time.
Suggestions for powerup/down: (the main character is referred to as "guy," the baddies are "boxes"
Guy shrinker/enlarger
Box speedup/ slowdown (I guess maybe that's what the +/- were already?)
CPU controlled buddies that guy could draft behind
Box direction changer/controls reverse
I would say some way of destroying boxes for points, but that might change the whole flavor of the game, which is sort of a battle against the unstoppable tide.
