Nice

this is a great game, the graphics remind me of the old nintendo era, highly recommended. I do have to stress the fact that not destroying/capturing ships in less then a minute (OR keeping them on screen) will make them disapear into a void of water and that I had to buy 5000 guns to capture a town, everything else about this game rocks!

Grea Concept ... but....

Like the idea and the whole thing goes along pretty smoothly.

However there's a couple things you should fix:

1) First of all, the information given at the Naval Yard is not clear. The cannon number is sometimes cut off for me so instead of 30 cannons, it reads 3 and so forth.
And also add more statistics for ships such as speed and crew capacity.

2) Make capturing villages a little less pointless. Although that is supposed to be objective of the game, you don't gain anything from taking them down and you wind up having to waste crew members and guns on them. You should be fighting a war.

Turn this into a war like scenario so have bigger naval battles with allies maybe. Also have the terrain constantly changing in battle.

for example:
you can have weather predictor where on certain days you might have tame seas and on others you can have stormy weather making fighting more intense.

anyways.... maybe turn this into a larger scale thing where there are real navies roaming around. But those are just my suggestions...

i seriously like how this game's formatted and stuff.

a few things you need to work on and this ought to be my fav game.

first, a mini map for the battle screen.
more starting money.
more boats around.
also a few more improvements

Quite fun, have some suggestions

Could use some refinement. I echo the frustration with finding ships in the battle map. In the early game, it would be nice for there to be zones that are more clearly for noobs. It would be nice for the ships to have differing characteristics in addition to cannon/armor/sailors (speed, agility, treasure capacity, special abilities, as well as warships vs. traders vs. other ships with varying characteristics). It would be nice for there to be ways of generating money other than random encounters, such as missions for your faction. Does the chain shot work as well on the enemy ships as it does on mine? I found a bug where the year clock starts counting up very quickly after 1600. There should be immediate rewards for taking towns besides just capturing it for your factions, as it is extremely expensive. Those are just the gripes I've had, but I've clearly spent a lot of time playing and enjoyed it quite a bit. Thank you for the excellent game!
