PrEmoEffect responds:

Lol, someone always comments on the visuals. haha.

Overall great song

Very pleasent sound! I love the way your transitions from melody to melody or from melody to backgrond are done - very smooth! It really does feel like a plum of smoke dancing in the breeze, travelling over countries and landscapes like none have been seen before!

I feel your build-ups are more inconsistent, however. Some of the build-ups are a bit quick (the one at 2:00 is amazing, though!) and could use a little tweaking. Your sample selection also becomes a bit repetitive over time, but then I've been listening to it for 15 minutes, which might explain a bit :P.

Overall, one of the best trance song I've heard on NG.

PrEmoEffect responds:

Haha, I should have called this green plumes. It would make much more sense that way. I would agree that I could spend more time on transitions and buildups. The one on the beginning is a bit problematic because I don't want something too long as to bore the listener, but not to short as to inhibit anticipation. Haha, sample selection; that's actually something I want to expand on, so I'll try improving it next time.

Potential.

You have potential Han. The quality is good.

However, to me it is quite repetitive and there is not a good build up.

I also think that the mix between the drums and the bass could be worked on more. On another note, the clap you used is way overused, especially for uplifting trance. Keep that in mind next time you make a Trance song.

Overall, I think it could be much better if you work on it more. I love the melody, so it would be sick if the mix was much clearer.

Keep at it.

PrEmoEffect responds:

I use uplifting to describe an overall experience of a track. However, I understand that there are differing opinions as to how trance should "sound," and that different sounds don't work for everyone. I've worked with both house and trance, and liking both, I try to mix the two together when I can. Next time, I'll try to make something that sounds in some ways more expected, and in some ways unexpected, such as interesting hits/stabs. Cheers.

...

The song itself is good...
But... It sounds oddly familiar.
This isn't a remix is it?

nice one..

I have to say it began a bit harsh, but everything after that sounds great really.

It's true most soundtracks trance/electric/house and such are best to learn from european artists/dj's (i recommend listening dutch dj's) as they are most known in europe and worldwide for this genre. Also eastern european music is taking over lately, but that's a different case..

everything else would be better if were american origin.
All by all make more like this and you will pass. This is a great track.

PrEmoEffect responds:

I hope I pass! I'll definitely try some dutch house. (I think house is more of my forte), if I EVER get time to produce again :(
