Reviews for "Premoeffect - Green Plums"

I got up

Then i went to the poo pot and came back to dance to just this song for full 15 mins WOOT! I can't tell you how much i love this song now.

PrEmoEffect responds:

haha, were you listening to it while in the bathroom?

It's got that euphoric feel

I admit that I haven't listened to trance in quite a while but this song might just change that! In my opinion it's comparable, and even better than a lot of trance that was floating around on the airwaves and in clubs between 2000 and 2009 (or the 00's).

When I listen to it I get a feeling that I'm in a sci-fi setting, in a futuristic city above the clouds. This track reminds me of a few settings in final fantasy 13 and ALOT of the wipeout series tracks as well. I believe you got the drums just right for an upbeat trance tune and I love the synths too.

You might have just revived my interest in trance with this truly euphoric piece!

PrEmoEffect responds:

Oh yeah, that's what it's about. I'll drop you by some really good producers. Try Nitrous Oxide, Maor Levi, Daniel Kandi, Above and Beyond, Ron van den Beuken, Dinka, and Deadmau5. You can't imagine how happy this makes me. I can't even get my friends to like trance :(.

Nailed it!

Simple without being simplistic. Addictive enough to loop too. Added to the playlist!

PrEmoEffect responds:

Nice way to put it. Thanks!

lolza

the video waz sofunty when i watcht this but the song waz slightly repetetiv. overal
gud thoh

PrEmoEffect responds:

Lol, someone always comments on the visuals. haha.

Overall great song

Very pleasent sound! I love the way your transitions from melody to melody or from melody to backgrond are done - very smooth! It really does feel like a plum of smoke dancing in the breeze, travelling over countries and landscapes like none have been seen before!

I feel your build-ups are more inconsistent, however. Some of the build-ups are a bit quick (the one at 2:00 is amazing, though!) and could use a little tweaking. Your sample selection also becomes a bit repetitive over time, but then I've been listening to it for 15 minutes, which might explain a bit :P.

Overall, one of the best trance song I've heard on NG.

PrEmoEffect responds:

Haha, I should have called this green plumes. It would make much more sense that way. I would agree that I could spend more time on transitions and buildups. The one on the beginning is a bit problematic because I don't want something too long as to bore the listener, but not to short as to inhibit anticipation. Haha, sample selection; that's actually something I want to expand on, so I'll try improving it next time.
