A few things...

It's a good first submission, but a few things: I like the backgrounds and animation, but it seems like at the beginning the audio is a little out of sync. In addition, the idea for the plot should be a little more developed. Mario tossing fireballs at Koopas is a common theme in EVERY Mario game; a parody should have something totally over-the-top happen. It seems like you have the start of something good here, so take what you've started with, go back to the drawing board a bit in terms of plot development, and you'll have a totally cool Flash movie.

this isnt one of those animations you submit i'm sorry. but i'm not going to condem you because of that. you tryed and it shows, its better then past TotW's and it shows some potential. The only reason why i'm going to blam this is because its not worthy to stay on newgrounds (trust me, theres alot of others that dont either but some how stay) but i hope to see another try soon.

Good grief...why is this Turd of the Week?

Ok, so it's not Waterlollies or Salad Fingers, but this was a lot better than some of the crap I've seen today, and for a first submission, it was pretty good. You might want to clean up your sprites some, but otherwise this earned a chuckle from me. Good luck, and with some improvement you can give a great big middle finger to those who made this TOTW.
