Reviews for "Raptek Arena Reloaded"

coolio

i didnt like how easy it was for my shield to go down but i did like the different classes. I also liked the music, music is always something to put into thought when making fighting games.I liked how u switched the people up that made it alot more challenging.

Kelemas responds:

Thank you!
As for the shield easily going down, trust me: it's only a matter of grasping the controls and a good rhythm.
I've put up a page dedicated to the game, where you can always find the latest version (without waiting for NG staff approval) and where you'll find 4 videos that show a suggestion on how to pass the first levels. Check them out if you want: I show that it is possible to end the first 3 levels even without using drops!!! :-)

A Great Game

This game was really good. Having the different classes is a great feature, allowing people to choose a character that can fit to their fighting style. I also like the idea of having a selection as to where to put your ability points after each level. What I would suggest is a possible formation that the monsters could go into for defensive or offensive attacks. For example, if you were to attack the monsters, the melee monsters would go straight for you, while the ranged monsters would shoot at you while moving away from you. This would prevent the player from continuously going in a counterclockwise fashion around the arena, prevent himself from all ranged damage. Nonetheless, smooth gameplay, and kept me playing for a few hours...

That is, until it crashed. Even after refreshing my browser cookies and cache, the game always seemed to crash on me after level 14. It didn't matter what class I had, but it crashed. Minor disappointment that I am looking forward to getting fixed.

If you can fix the issue of it crashing, as well as adding a little bit more strategy regarding enemy formations, I will be back at this game for some more hours.

Kelemas responds:

Thank you for the suggestions!
The enemy AI is already something similar: if you watch closer, some archers simply stop as soon as they are in range to hit you, while others strafe. And if you try to approach them, you'll notice that they try to avoid you (slowly, 'cause they are moving backward).
But obviously you find it not enough... :) I'll try to make it better in the future!
As for the crash, it is a well known issue in version 1.6, as you can read in previous comments. I've already submitted a new version to NG, but it's waiting the staff approval and pending.
If you want, you can find the latest version on kongregate or on a page I've put up for the game: http://www.circolofantasy.com/arena
Thank you again!

Kelemas responds:

I'm sorry...

Unfortunately your saved game won't work on the new version. Sorry for the mess.

fun and original

I liked it, nice job. Maybe you could change the mouse icon into, perhaps, a sword or target or something, depending on which class you are using? Just a suggestion. And yeah, the game is pretty tough, but really fun! :D

Kelemas responds:

Thanks for the compliments.
Some one else suggested the same thing, and I started working on it but stopped since I don't find a look that satisfy me...
But in the end I'll eventually find something, so stay tuned! :)
