Reviews for "The Art Of HouseWifery"

Great!

This is fan-tas-tic! My wife didn't think so though. End of story.

Bravo!

Funniest thing I've seen all day! Keep up the good work, ZB.

The work was good, but the humore lacking.

The animation was actually quite good, and I understand the sardonic tone of humor. However, it just wasn't that funny really. I'm not trying to be mean, but at least Duck and Cover, which was meant to be serious, can be funny today. I liked the sound quality, and have no doubt of the skill of the creators, but it just didn't work. Sorry, maybe try to be a little more ironic next time.

Nice Lampoon

This was a nice lampoon of the 1950s bullcrap short movies that my granddad said they had to watch all the time in school. It's also funny because this is exactly the kind of society America tried to create in the 1950s. I call it overcompensating.

In the 1940s we had rosie the rivetter and women all over in industry because the men were all out to war (some women too) and then after the war we had to get all those men back to work. Imagine if women stayed in the workforce in HUGE numbers, all those GIs being bored and jobless, not a good idea in most societies to have a demobilized army bored and jobless.

So we have the 1950s. A much more socially conservative time then any other point in American history. Women were had more liberty outside the home in the 1920s... the Flapper Girl for example. So we had films like this to help create a fake world of women in the home 100% of the time. We think of Leave it to Beaver as being reality before the 1960s but in fact it was only the 1950s when America was like that.

A very nice lampoon on how stupid a society can get when they take the simple path to solve a social problem.

Hmmmm

I felt a rock land in the bottom of my gut and it felt like she was being suckered. I don't mean this toward the movie personaly, but people like that, I feel sorry for them.

At some parts I almost laughed, but when it got more into the movie it became seriously old.

Now to rating. The sounds were presentable and I could hear them clearly. The animation wasn't half bad either. Seven out of ten.

7/10
