cool

how do you get past those trees? they keep hitting me and i can't dodge or attack back

SecretSecretary responds:

You cant hurt the trees, they are magical and own the woods. There's a walkthrough on my userpage. Give the Haunted Woods part a read-through and then try again. This game is not supposed to be easy.

Fun till the frustration sets in.

I was enjoying it until attempting the zombie uprising seven times. Not because the zombies are hard to kill, but because the big monster always hits you when you're stuck with the choice to either kick a zombie and get hit by it, or avoid the monster and get hit by a zombie. Or pop on screen from behind while youur mid kick. I tried the jump kick to solve this, but the game seemed to skip a bit whenever I do and I either got swatted out of the air, or landed on top of the zombie getting hurt even worse. And on the occasions I did flying kick a zombies head off, the landing always ran me face first into the next zombies claw. That and the multiple damages per one enemy kept me from just plowing through.

So in general, cool game. I just wish it didn't make me feel like a pinball.

LOL

too hard

it was a very good game, exepct for the part with the woods, I can't get past it.

SecretSecretary responds:

Thanks, check out the walkthrough on my userpage to learn how to get past certain places in the game.

Creative...gets too hard if u make one mistake

Very creative concept and art. The music is good, but may i suggest Thunderhorse? The openening would be less boring if you sped it up just a little. I haven't gotten past the wolves in the forest yet...everytime i do the wrong attack or let them get to close i get F****d. When they hit you it makes you do this animation where u cant attack, plus they keep biting you so often and do so much damage you die in 2 seconds. I would make them do damage less often or not stun you so much. And there's no point in making it so small - everythings better bigger.

SecretSecretary responds:

You can use your axe always, even while you are getting hurt. Try swingin that axe more often and see the results, but I guess it takes practice. There's a walkthrough on my userpage that might help you get past those sticky situations... thanks for the review!

Hmm...

This is the bulk of my review summed down so the lower intellect of newground can comprehend.
Graphics: Exquisitly made, matching console graphics, animated of course.

Animation: Almost slightly disturbing, you should apply to be a game creator because it's the best I've seen here in a while.

Repitition: For a side-scroller you pulled it off nicely, although the death's of enemies should be altered instead of the same style, (E.G. Zombies only having their head come off the same way every time) & the casting, like the fireball, should be changed slightly, since the warlock and the dragon are going to obviously have different fire balls, also the lightning should be slightly altered each time it's used, and your attack should be slightly altered.

Notes: An idea I thought of while in the midst of playing was this, if you wished to continue this, then have the Witch be mistaken and the Warlock was under mind control of the a greater force. It's just an opinion though.

All in all it's a great game, although the repition category shouldn't be so big, until your next attempt

SecretSecretary responds:

You have some really good points there. I did have a dead-line though, but I think I got most of what I wanted to into the game. Thanks for the review and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
