Grade A, but too damn hard
Definitely worth front page. This is one of the few newgrounds games to hold my attention for more than 5 minutes. But does it really classify as a "Defense" game?
Anyway, it belongs alongside the mega-classics like Ronin : Spirit of the Sword and Indian Outlaw.
Problem. It's TOO mofoing hard. Seriously. First chapter is beautiful. Maintain strategic ground while picking off the foe. Lots of fun. Second chapter was more of the same. Third chapter, however, was mostly just Wait and Retaliate :( Boring! Fourth chapter is a cruel method of taking away all of our money . I made it to the Final Battle, but I'm bankrupt. I can't afford enough half decent stuff to last the non-stop stages. Spent all my cash using Bombs on the submarines.
Also, magic becomes obsolete fast. So do gold bars.
One more thing. Were the Jeeps supposed to kill me? :D They just hugged me while I chopped them up.
Oops, one more thing. Last one. Glitch : First stage in chapter 4, the boats can come on land on one row of tiles. It's a good glitch, as it allows me to take them all one on one. Nonetheless, I don't think they're supposed to do that.
Reminds me of FFT
The battle system and travel system reminded me of that, and it was very well executed. But yeah, it just feels like..somethings missing.

Missing something...
This game had potential but fell flat. Maybe Add more Characters like in a real Strategy/RPG game. Controlling that single guy is no fun at all. Played like 5-7 levels hoping I would run into like other playable characters or maybe have an army but nope, nothing. Not really a "strategy game". More like a Action Strategy Hybird that dosent work out too well.
