Reviews for "Animals"

Good

Really deep man and I disagree with Ken-Masta I think that suicide is not cowardly for someone who is really honestly truely deeply depressed suiced is perfectly all right and should be an option for them and they should be allowed to go to heaven (if it does exist) to you suicide may seem stupid and cowardly but fo someone who is really depressed it is a way to escape the pain. Now tell me what about that makes them undeserving of heaven (if it does exist)?

Amazing... and confusing.

The art, the sound, the use of theams and dramatic symbolism, all beautifuly captivating. I esspecialy liked chair lift poles. I am taking a course on Christian imagery in film, and honestly, I think I will sugest this to my professor as our final film to review. I'm not sure If I understood it though. It was a metephor for life, death, judgment, and rebirth into the afterlife right? I think I may have to watch this a few more times to understand everything. congradulations, this Is amazing.

Just wow.

The animation was good, and the coloring/lighting effects were perfect for this flash. The sounds were great and the story poetic. I'm not sure if I guessed the theme or story right, but I took what I could from it. I'm not going to explain what I think about it, because frankly, I'm too lazy. I will say, however, that the ending was what made everything become clear for me.

A very moving piece.

My thoughts are that when we see the black and white we are seeing what this man is remembering. When the scene is red we then see where this man is now. I gather that this man was religious but murdered a child (perhaps by accident i think because of the tears on his face) or saw the the child had been murdered an felt saddend by the cruelty of mankind. This caused him to turn his back on his faith (the falling crosses) and drove him to suicide. We then follow this man as he faces his fate. At least that is what I think.

AtmosGames responds:

you are correct for the most part. i chose that the child was his son that died, but it doesnt really matter. the main point is he does not go to hell, as you can see with the up arrow.

Quite Good Indeed

The art was amazing and the video chilling.
The constant cross imagery surely has a meaning, and so I will take a stab at it.
A man feels that religion did not help him in his time of need, and gave up his beliefs before taking his own life. But the up at the end of the movie indicates that even though he lost hope and turned away, he would still go to heaven.

I bet I am sooooo wrong about the movie, but whatever.
