Reviews for "I Remain"

No, THATS GREAT!

Satoris responds:

lol thanks a lot man! Check us out on Facebook!

Great!

To F14m3Ph03n1x's extensive review of your song, I'm assuming it's like a stand your ground message, where you fight on for one sole purpose until you have no strength left to fight.

The song has a great structure, and the lyrics, despite some other opinions. It's great to hear a song with some clean vocals as well. Good job.

The acoustic guitar "solo" after "despite these thoughts that rape my soul" is actually very benefiting to this song's message, which is somewhat clear with enough thought.

Enough said, flat-out 9/10 5/5

Harsh, but hopefuly constructive criticism

I don't know what to think of this. To be perfectly honest your singer has quite a nice potential, that is obvious in the DangerZone cover you guys made. I don't understand why you wanted him to go "all monster like" in this piece, this could really shine with a more melodic voice, specially in the parts where calm guitar solo enters (1:15 to 1:30) and (2:35 to 3:10 in the end).

As for the lyrics themselves, I swear to God I have no idea what you guys were thinking. I mean no offence, but hell, it just makes no sense. You talk about honour, a bullet in the heart, and you remain? And then in the end your soul gets rapped ... and you still remain ... (for some reason...) Forgive me for my stupidity, but I could really use an insight on your thoughts about the lyrics.. it may be just me, but I don't think they are that obvious for the listener to understand the meaning of your message or song.
The music may be nice, but after hearing it 3 or 4 times, I am just sick of hearing "I Remain" (yes, I get the point, move on to something, say something else!).

Now, for my favourite part ... the acoustics, the instrumental. The riffs are very nice, easy to remind and well executed. The riff plus the guitar semi-solo and the guitar solo (1:30 to 2:00) are just super. They are soul of the music for me. Shame that you go over to repeating the same patterns again in the end (after 2:00 no new content seems to be add, except for the ending).

As far as my opinion is concerned, this is nice for another commercial standard radio music, but nothing else. It's nice and pleasant to hear the first few times, but it gets really old and repetitive after the 3rd or 4th time you listen to it.

I am sorry if my critics are too hard, perhaps I was expecting something more DangerZone oriented, or something with more variety in the melody (check out Fighting FF7 guitar solo by ArtificalFear in this community, or some solos by Xenogenocide. Sam D also has an interesting mix of vocals in case you wonder).

Now, comparing this to my God's of guitar metal, these are my scores:
4/5 - I cannot say this is "as good as" or "better" than the best melodies I've ever heard in this community. It is very good, but it simply doesn't enter that level.
8/10 - An interesting work no doubt, but I have some questions about the main idea behind the theme. I simply don't understand it and I think it is unclear. The guitars and melody however, although not extraordinary, are still enjoyable and remarkable.

I hope you find this review useful, and I hope that it helps you guys improve the quality of your work.

Best regards, FlamePhoenix.

where's the rest of the song?
I really dug the first part and then there was nothing!
I remain! waiting for the rest!

Sound is amazing! quality of production is good. Lack of 2nd verse is.. well lacking!
C'mon, you went this far. You might as well finish it!

Satoris responds:

Maybe it's your computer? I just listened to the whole thing and it played all the way through :(
