It's amazing..
It's amazing how a series of flash movies can cause such discussions on its content and what its true meaning is. Either the author David Firth is a complete genius, to come up with this and to make every episode a piece of the big puzzle that's Salad Fingers life, or this is all random stuff from his mind.
From the episode when he found Kenneth I realized that this must be more than just random, this had a meaning from the start. This Salad Fingers could actually be a woman, not a man like everyone sees him as. This story is about this "woman", whos parents and beloved were killed during a nuclear war, and all human beigns that remain are scarred by this war, more or less. Salad Fingers her(him)self has gotten its mind all twisted by the loneliness. I do not think the radioactive gas itself twisted Salad Fingers mind, it had just malformed "it" and killed all of its relatives, thus the loneliness and chock of this happenings, twisted its mind. The hair that "it" finds in "its" home is probably hair from "its" old family. Also Kenneth from the 7th episode is probably its brother or friend that he found and buried during the awakening of the "time after the war". By every episode Salad Fingers mind is getting more and more twisted as loneliness slowly eats him from the inside. It is also pretty clear that it has split personalities which is clearly stated in the episode where it sees itself in the water. Every memory or anything that reminds him of the time before the war seems to make him go crazy and depressed.
There is too much to say about Salad Fingers to write in just one post, I will just look forward to more episodes. And please David, never reveal the truth about Salad Fingers too clearly as the mysteries of this odd being, is the true interrest of these movies.
Over and Out.
