Awesome depiction on how everything is deadened, the slightly varying browns, the lifeless mannequins, the lady with an apathetic smirk on her face-- even the knife has no sign of wooden residue. The eyes are well shrouded or non-existent, as they tell A LOT about a person. Everything blends in as inanimate or stale, even the lighting of the picture doesn't exaggerate any one particular portion of it. The only thing that is alive in this picture is their hair, which is full of spunk.
5/5 great self-interpreting piece. This could go in many directions.

Love the style of your art, but what inspire this piece? I can understand some of your description, but not all. Hope so to see plenty from you this new year :)

What inspired me is the clinical depression that I'm going through. It's basically about the inability of feeling anything, basically being "dead".
I really don't know how to rate art. I kinda just found myself asking, a lot of whys about this piece.
Why are the eyes empty / hidden?
Why is the tip of the blade not shown - why does she look like she will strike again?
Why a dummy, why a woman, and why the intimacy?
Why the dull brown background, the soft glow coming from the side?
Then I recognized the common pair of faces - similar to the two masks of drama - and this makes a whole lot more sense now. I found the caption quite fitting, and not as obvious as my first inclination. Quite the puzzle.

That's a lot of questions! Haha. I won't give a straight answer since it sullies the ability of the audience to draw their own conclusions. I prefer people coming up with their own interpretation since it allows them to connect to the piece, and by extension, with the artist.
