okay....
well, unless something is messing up my flash player, i noticed a huge bug here... anytime i tried to play this game, it acted as a seizure-like animation, and giving me a score of 149124 all the time. i tried it on 2 different internet browsers and the exact same thing happened. i'm not sure what the deal is there, but you may want to have a look at it.
It needs SLIGHT tweeking
I have to agree that the reload time is either too long or the power-ups too far between, the shield is really not enough.
Just a few tenths of a second would make a difference.
Power ups are really too randomly spaced to be of any help, in my first 15 min playing I didn't even see any.
Other than that I really like the concept and the music track matches wonderfully.

who are whining about reload time.
IF you read the instructions,.. that disc? that covers the planet?.. yeah you can use that as a sheild... that compensates for the reload time more than enough. awesome game, nice take on an old classic

Shorten the reload times and we'll talk...losing simply because I'm not allowed to shoot fast enough to hit all 400 enemies onscreen before they reach the planet is not challenge, it's a pain in the wazoo.
