Compelling and a masterpiece
Beautiful
Unlike so many things, I can feel this. This rips and tears at your soul. It attacks something inside us, something that cannot be described. Though it lacks variation, in its entirety, it is a wonderful work. The slurs in the first third are quite well executed. And the right sounds are brought out. But nonetheless, much of the piece is far too loud. Some parts could use improvement. But, in the end, the central melody is a haunting that will forever remain in our hearts. This song used to bring be despair. But, I see something different now. It is a light. A streak of light, in darkness. It's something that can't be held. It's something that cannot be touched.
No, for this is a song of hope. This is likely the best of its kind on Newgrounds.
I have but a single complaint. This piece begins elegantly, and that feeling is killed towards the end. The song becomes obnoxiously cacophonous, and the beauty is strained. There is so much potential to this song. What we needed was a climax. A cry of pair. And that was not present.
I present a nine, for this pieces delivers emotion, but fails to extend beyond that par.
