I can see what you mean.
The old man image really came in. I can see him now, sitting in his bed and staring out the window and watching the rain drops streak across the glass. I can imagine a flash going into some of his memories, reliving some of the great triumphs of his past along with some of the sorrows. And at the end it fades into black, possibly with a heartbeat gradually slowing to a stop, or maybe the old man just closing his eyes for the final time.

I love when artists tell what inspired their songs. and i totally sympathize with you on dry spells... inspiration is mandatory for a song to have quality.. there's a line from inception where they're describing dreams and creation.. it's not like building it, it's like discovering it...
