Reviews for "Mario's Revenge: SE"

OK really...

I really didn't think this was very good, I didn't watch it all, but when you had, things turning into the strawberry clocks and w/e.... It just got f--k up. It would be funny, but you making this so serious and stuff, it really made this thing look bad....

sorry... and plus, with all the effort, ehhhhh... I don't want to think about it

@_@

WTF

dude i stopped watching this when mario, AND THE F'N CLOCK, turned super saiyan. im not even gonna go further with this because the owners of the site will get pissed and terminate my account.
one last thing, dont mix mario and DBZ unless you can actually pull it off (like having marios stronger forms be his super forms, ex: mario's fire and flying forms).

Eh?

To be frank, I really didn't enjoy this movie much. I'm not entirely sure whether it was meant to be funny or serious, which (IMO) is a bad thing.

I thought your drawing skills were fairly impressive, as was your choice in music (which was let down slightly by the sometimes-too-sudden empty gaps with no sound whatsoever) and the fight scenes were well animated for the most part.

Unfortunately, this was let down by a horribly unbelievable plotline, bad wording and grammar, and poor character choice. The fact that Mario was in it really didn't matter - the fights were all DBZ-style and not many elements of Mario were in it besides the background scenes and the character base, which really wasn't enough to justify it being a Mario movie - you could take pretty much any other video game character and make the exact same movie without any change to the plot. Perhaps if you had replaced Mario & Co with DBZ equivalents, I'd have enjoyed it more (and probably found the clock thing funnier too).

Speaking of humour, I did laugh a bit the first time Mario went SSJ. Perhaps if you'd spoofed far more other cartoons/video games in the same manner, it'd have carried the humour a lot better.

In short, there's definitely a lot to be worked on before this can become the great flash it could have been.

Okay.

I just wanted to praise your use of Nine Inch Nails - Just Like You Imagined as the theme for the title screen (though it was also in the 300 trailer). The second best instrumental piece (the first being "Pinion," as simple as it is) by my favorite musical artist.

Really well done

I really enjoyed this. The story was a bit crazy, but most ultra-fight flashes don't need a legitamite story line. But what really bumped up the rating is the music. The choice in songs were dead on, and really good. Nothing too crazy for the scene, and all blended with each other well. Very good flash.
