Its not often that i start off with the parts that i didn't like but i thought that they had to be addressed first before i could go onto the parts i did like, now for me you had two problems that influenced wrong themes that you weren't trying to portray, they were the graphics and the characters voice, the graphics just came off too cutesy for me i thought you could have distanced yourself from that anime-esque look, the voice although the acting was terrific the tone of the voice was too high so i couldn't really get the most out of your sad and depressing tale. The good things to come out of this however were your story, which i thought was powerful, the backgrounds, which were nicely darkened to really bring me into the characters personal space and mind frame and props to the voice acting although it didn't suit the theme it had a lot of heart.

Garrr

Man this poem was soooo EMMMOOOOOOO.. well I respect art.. but I have never found poetry to be much of anything, they dont stir hope and they come from the darkest reaches of a persons heart, what good is art if it doesnt bring out the light in people.. so to rate this I would say 6/10.. and couldnt the next poem be about I dont know picking flowers and how glorious life is when the sun is out and the birds are chirping? hahahaa.. man that sounds so gay.. fine keep your emo-ic literature! >.<

Very nice, but there is one thing...

the one below me, animesomething w/e. you don't understand anything that this flash said... nothing that always how it is. its cause life is going your way no pains,no lonelyness, nothing in the world that would apply to you but, once in your life you will understand the pain of being alone that sears your soul more than anyother pain this world can bring...it not "EMO" its called life, I have tasted pain like this once...and its a scar that only one thing can heal, one person...just one who would just stop mabey have a chat thats all it takes. Great flash by the way :)

too whiny

Very, very *sigh* emo. I know the feeling, but God it just got very repetetive and so damn whiny. The animation was great and all, but I couldn't focus on it...I don't know this particular character's story, but please, less whiny.

Poem eh?

I found this animation lacking not because of its artwork or tone but because of its very foundation of the "poem". I saw the poem poor because of its little or any imagery or any other literary devices. I have no problem with free verse poetry but this felt less like a poet speaking and more of a unorganized, and without direction short story. Had this animation been based on a short story this would be slightly more exceptionable but the label of poem doesn't suit it well. I also feel that if the creators if this animation were going a deep, dark tone they wouldn't have chosen bright neon pink for the speakers hair color, it seems to just clash with the overall mood of the poem/story.

For positives the artwork was well done and the background loop was not oppressive and didn't mask the speaker. The animation seemed well done enough. The speakers voice was mildly convincing at best though. Final question what is the outcome? Was suppose to be a cliffhanger ending or just a sigh that the unlucky Asada is about to meet her unfortunate end?

I give this animation a fair 5/10
