Great movie

I really enjoyed that, although I guess such a high quality movie is expected of a professional animator. I loved the concept, the song, and general flow of the video. I've never made a flash movie or 3-D animation in my life, but I'm thinking of doing some work next next in some kind of program. Quick question for you: 3-D programs are obviously much better quality than flash, but does it take much more work to make something comparable to this movie, than to make what Newgrounds would consider a high quality flash animation without the use of 3-D?

This project took me about 3 months, working very long hours and weekends. Part of that was the music, but most was the 3d. With 3d, you have to design the characters, model the characters, rig the characters, texture the characters, then you finally get to animate them. Another problem with 3d is that its so realistic that you can't do limited animation. With Flash you can have a still character with just his mouth moving and it can look good.. with 3d it would look very bad. But I think the really high quality Flash, like Brackenwood, takes just as long as 3d.

I didn't expect to see 3d animation from a professional animator that's worked on animations like open season, the polar express, and others... on newgounds!

Generally entertaining and groovy.

I loved the first few opening shots on the bass player.

The designs of the robot and the drummer were rather fun to witness. I specially liked the robot's curvy keyboard. I imagine it'd be hard to play for a human like myself though.

The voice and music generally was fun and groovy. When it ended, I really wanted to keep listening!

The female's shots and poses swung from amusingly ludicrous (the tongue and boob squeezing the button), embarassing (the zoom-in to her crotch from the back, the whole pussy thing... and inspired (the magazine covers, which worked brilliantly).

I chuckled when she exploded like that though...

I suppose as she isn't singing or whatever, it's more obvious - I mean, Madonna uses sex in her videos but at least she's the singer!

One suggestion for future 'episodes' would be to move away from the sorta 70s-style 'band playing music-type' videos and towards the more modern style of videos, with some vague allusion at a narrative. There were a few brief moments where the shots and camera angles were a bit dull and 'obvious'.

Interested to see where you take this, or if you do proceed at all.
