2 HARD

ok im pretty good at theys rpg games i even beat ur other one pretty easy but this one is way 2 hard u get almost no money for beating a normal monster unless u kill a boss which then u use all ur items and have to buy more thus u end up with no money and then the bosses keep geting harder and u have no money to get better wepons or armor to kill them its just imposible man

Improvement!

Improving on something that was already good-this one was better then the last, and without the slight attempt at humor (which made it better!)

So, without a doubt; yeaaah. Better. Not in a sarcastic way, it's better then something that was great! Onto the review;

Graphics; 8/10.
Jumped two points! Admitedly, the characters are the same..but beyond that, everything else was better. The darkness was a great thing, you did the light-fading perfectly. The zooming of the train was decent, and the glowing..*drool* did I mention the glowing?

Style; 8/10.
Now, this was like the third lord of the ring movie, where you expect it to end three times over. The only difference is that here, you expect it to end, and it doesn't, and you practically LEAP for joy because you didn't want it to end. And then it actually does end, and unlike the lotr movie, where you go 'finally!' in this, you go 'when the hell's he getting the next one out!?'

I don't think suspense if the right word. But I'm pretty sure I got my point across.

Sound; 9/10.
Sounds were still awesome. Same as last time-though my only complaint is that the fight music was sorta..docile. Other then that, lovely.

Violence; 8/10.
Nothing new here. Still good, and given it's an RPG (and I'm guessing not supposed to be like..goredeathviolencesex etc), the violence content was good. The skull-exploding was fun. And I liked the Darkling deaths.

Interactivity; 7/10.
Nothing new here, again; everything that could be interacted with, could be interacted with. Though I liked the barrels for free things.

Humor; 0/10.
No humor here.

Overall; 9/10.
ORGASMIC. MAKE ANOTHER NOW. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE A LIFE ANYMORE.
XD
Now, onto it in all seriousness; this one was long. Not too long, in the '..damnit, end already!' long. But long in the nice, filling meal way. The mysteriousness that's coming from all of the machines and all that is nice as well, although the darklings looked like retarded lemurs (I was having fits during this. >_>)

The ghost-orbs were annoying as all hells, though I liked the fights. Decent. Though a bit harder would've been nice, or maybe something to pick how hard you want it or not.

Anycase; keep up the good work man! I'm eagerly awaiting the third chapter.

Thank you for the very detailed review :) Hope you will like the other ones as much!

Most frustrating game ever. The first boss, the big mechanical flying thing that shoots lightning, impossible to beat, you gotta make it a bit easier

Wow !

I loved this game !
I added it to my favs.
One thing that bothered
me was the repetative music
not much action either ...
I didn't like the fact that you cant
see your armor
loved the length ...i thought it was
going to be over by the time
i clened out the mine but loved
what came after I do wish that
there were more items

any other than that i just thought
your game was incredibly addicting

Nice game.

There's not really that much I can add that hasn't already been said in the last page of posts, though I did notice a glitch. I bought the Battle Mode unlock from a merchant, and I still can't use it. I've got my level 15 save file still up, but it's saying that I don't have it bought yet. That took a lot of beating up helpless human skulls with explode to get. =(

On that note, I don't think that explode is completely useless because at the point that you get it, it'll make really easy leveling in the mines till about level 12. =D Though slash kinda died at that point...so yeah. I think that'll need just a bit of balancing.

Oh, the mini puzzles at the end of the game were pretty fun to play with, it made me get out a notebook and write down all the possibilities for one of them. You should have a few more of those interwoven in the game, they're always a nice touch.

Since you're addressing the issue of having extra characters in the next game, I'm not that worried about this, but I agree with an earlier comment:

Either A: The monsters should have a tell. (Though I did notice that the Pumpkin Queen only attacks when it's powered up.)

Or B: You should allow the main character to recuperate skills or even mana while they're healing, it'll make blocking a more realistic and useful option. At least you didn't put us in a situation like with those snow birds in the first one: I wasted almost 30 minutes trying to get to level 4. =(

Anyways, that being addressed, this is probably the best Flash RPG I've played on here since Absalom died off in 2003. That says alot...both positively and negatively about Newgrounds... <_< >_> Don't take me head! Anyways, 5/5 in my book. You only got an 8 because of the average of the scores.

-Please send me a private message, I need more info-
About the glitch: When you go speak to the merchant and try to buy the battle mode again, does it say "You already have it"? Or is it like you've never bought it. Btw, you need to save your game right after you buy it, because if you go beat the boss right after, it doesn't save your game.

Thanks for your review, we will keep your suggestions in mind.
