Reviews for "Battlefield General"

Awesome game

I loved the game, Loved the Chinese Army Idea, loved the way the mountains actually slowed units down... i even loved the music... however, i have a few gripes:
1- you need to put more info on the units in their little displays, like range, or sight distance.
2- Add more to the Tutorial, like something explaining the units. the tower for example... im still in the dark as to what it does so i havnt bought one yet. is it a seige tower? does it help defense? if so do you need to put units in it or does it fire on its own...?( I dont really need answers, but questions like that arise without good unit instruction.)

3-this is the big one... I dont know how many times i lost my big expensive general because i couldnt get him to back off an overwhelming force. all the units fight your control to try to engage the enemy, but of all of them the general is the worst. The only time he backs off someone is to go attack someone else. there should be some sort of "when i press this button you go where i tell you no matter what" button.

fix this stuff and you will have a game that rivals other well known strategy games!!!

pretty sweet

tip{make tons of cavalary and send them in with a genral it allways works}

Fun game but it gets boring after a few levels

The game is fun and all but after a couple of levels it gets boring really fast. But other than that it was a fun game. I look forward to a sequel if there is one.

Needs major work.

I'm not gonna lie: this was a fun game to get in to. Unfortunately, it didn't last very long because of flaws in the game coding. The basic concerns on my list are no different than what anyone else has said:

- Lack of total control of units
- Repetitive music
- Units trapped behind buildings

Etc etc etc. If I can add one more to the list, it's that when you go to purchase a tower, you can't CANCEL the purchase. On the 2nd round I was considering putting in 2 towers to guard my castle. I set one in place but by the time I clicked the 2nd one, I decided against it. However, I couldn't cancel the purchase of the tower. I tried clicking other units, hitting Esc, and dragging the mouse, but it was no use. If you update the game, add cancelation of pre-determined purchases into account.

It's a good framework for a game, but there are lots of bugs and other unit issues that prevent it from being something that I'd look forward to playing more often. (A multiplayer feature would be nice too, tbh.)
