we just started reading this...
I'm only through the tenth canto of the Inferno, but already it's one of my favorite epic poems. I certainly enjoyed your interpretation of the first canto, and I would like to see you do at least the rest of the Inferno (although, maybe you don't have to separate out all the cantos...). The music was great... it created the perfect atmosphere to stage the plot. I would recommend putting more of Dante's original narration into your next films (should you decide to do them), I really think that would strengthen them. Congratulations on a job well done!
TO THOSE WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY DANTE MUST GO THROUGH HELL TO REACH THE LIGHT OF GOD: Dante has "strayed from the True Way" (i.e. the Righteous Path) into the "dark wood of Error". He can't get out the way he came because he is lost. If he tried to get past the Leopard, Lion, and She-Wolf (symbols of sin), they would destroy him. But, if he journeys with the ancient poet Virgil (who symbolizes Human Reason as Poetic Wisdom), then Dante can safely pass through the levels of Hell, through Purgatory, and on to Paradise, where he can meet Beatrice, the woman he loved (symbolizing Divine Love), who can show him God.
Please do not stop.
This has some serious potential, please do more.

I got a feeling this could be one of the epic flashes man you should make more of these. I like your style and look forward to seeing more of these.

I'd love to see the entire Dante's Inferno. Use up your sick days at work.
Go all the way until Dante has to climb up Satan's nasty frozen legs to the other end of the earth. Instead of Purgatory maybe Dante can just go home, or something.
