I found a bug
i was just goofing around when i got to a 30-hit combo. I scrolled to the most powerful special, while still juggling the ball. I activated the special and nothing happened. All my guy did was lay back and spaz out. it said i hit it, but i saw nothing. And it kept me laying back, so i couldn't move. Well there you have it. Its a solid game and I'm looking for it to be released as a full game soon.
Now this is weird :S i havent had this one happen b4. Have you been able to perform the superbeam before or does it always do this to you?

Its an ok game and the concept is kinda lame. Using the ball to weaken my enemy so i can attack it is alot more annoying then it sounds. Sooner or later i will just be bouncing the ball back and forth, until i get hit and give up. There could be some movement fixing done cuz flying around is retarded. At times I felt like i would just swing myself at the Health or the, whats that? A Pot Leaf?! for a power up?! Oh wow real original. Actually it explains why this game is bad, cuz pot HAD to be involved.
Thing is it feels ALOT like some Dragon Ball Z knock off. The people look like drm DBZ, the "DAHHH" noise sounds like its from DBZ, (personaly I hate the show but I have watched it one or twice). Also there could be a name change? Z ball X? What the hell does that mean? The ball has a "flow of ki" why not call it Ki Ball? For get the "X" Adding letters like "Z"and "X" won't make it seem any cooler then it is. This game is lame no matter what you call it.
Finally, the characters are way too cliché, A young warrior who lives for the thrill of combat. "wooo boy, thats a new one!"Okay, in the main menu, look at the guy in blue. Now look at the guy in the background (I guess hes the bad guy, cuz he has his hood on) see any problems? THEY ARE THE SAME. Only diffrence I see is the color hoodie. But all and all we would have to wait for the actual version to come out, "woooo houdy, I can't wait"
Its nice that you tried to think outside the fighter game box and try to add a little pazzaz to the genere, but I guess it didn't work.

When the title is Z Ball, where people fight DBZ style, OF COURSE its bloody inspired by dragonball. if you dont like DB, then DONT observe it. Its not like the title and icon dont give it away or anything is it? btw the chars voice is actually Ken from Streetfighter,which also happens to be a DBZ knockoff.
I didnt call it ki-ball cos people just dont understand the concept of ki well enough. Z Ball lets you know what your in for, and it rhymes with FreeBall - the actual name of the ballsport ive hyperboled. The x is an algebraic way of saying open beta/without version.
Did you ever suppose that 2 identical people opposing each other might actually be a symbol? Any numbskull should know by now combat is a battle with oneself than any other opponent. That also happens to be the spirit of ANY game - eliminating all possibility of error on your part so that one can win. Your opponent only personifies your potential.
Im sick of freeloading people like you who criticize without having any skill yourself or any artistic understanding, you cant even comprehend the production processes involved here. Seeing as how the pothead can be productive, and the social muppet can only express his ignorance, i wonder who has a greater right to the genepool...

but you really need to work out those bugs...
Bug#1: "teleporting" out of the level (i got that weed-like powerup and teleported out the level)
Bug#2: dont know if its supposed to be like this but sometimes when you hit the orb...it doesnt count a combo-point
next to that..if you teleport out of the gameplay area you fall non stop down...and the framerate boost up alot...so that lvl might be too much or my laptop just sucks :P
other than that...good game :D
