The hit areas are pretty tight around the sprites. I've gotten butterflies that were right on the edge of a menace so I doubt you were an inch away and died. Most likely you didn't see another fluff ball that ran into you because of a distraction.

As far as simple distraction games go, I really appreciated this one. It is a bit harder than your standard collecting game, which is always a good thing in my book. And I loved the style, but maybe only because I am such a sucker for earthbound. Some of the creatures trhat flew by also gave me a little chuckle.
All in all, a very stable distraction game.

I think I explained it enough in both my comments and in the game. You are to catch the magic butterflies with your present. Avoid the menaces and watch out for distractions. Maybe next time I'll make sure to include a short tutorial for people who have never played anything like this.

Not too shabby...of course I'm a huge fan of earthbound (please come to us gba earthbound..) so i was happy when I saw the sprites. Good job man.
