Reviews for "Do-It-Yourself TV Repair"

Well...

It made me laugh. People can be like that, and yet they never learn. Good job!

sysrq868 responds:

Thanks! Took me some time to do, especially the hatchings and the electrical effects, so I'm glad that it wasn't all in vain.

(And well, technically it's a ragdoll and not a person, but I might be too explicit and literal about it... go figure)

Cheers! --syrq868

Lol Great

It Was Funny And Pretty Good Animation. Only Thing Make Sounds For The Things That Happen. Anyways Good Job.

sysrq868 responds:

Thanks for the review!

I know that I didn't add sound effects. That's because I wanted this to be more of a music video, though I'm still trying to invent a reason why TV repairing and the song "Business Below" relate to each other. As you can see, many actions are timed exactly for the beats (eyes blink, the second electrical shock, the final realising that the TV doesn't infact work), so I think that SFX would've ruined the illusion and binding of the music to the motion.

Nice

Good graphics and animation, the soundtrack wasn't bad as well.

You seem to have such an opinion of the Iraq war but does Finland actually have any troops invested in it?

War does not follow a deadline. It will end when there is peace.Personally I'd love to get our guys out of there and just bomb them to kingdom come but the rats would just hide in their holes.

Good flash though and sorry for the rant.

sysrq868 responds:

No it's okay. There's been a fair amount of political ramblings already, so for all I care you are free to express your opinion from war, politics, government, troops, Iraq, oil and whatnot. I myself really don't seem to have any interest for this politic scheme at all. I have no opinion about the war in Iraq/where ever. The posters are no hidden subliminal propaganda or anything, as they are clearly visible throughout the film. I don't like the war but I don't exactly hate it either way. It's the death in it that I don't like. But who would? :P

I also don't care about Finland sending troops to Iraq. I just think that Finland has a bundle of other things to resolve before dabbling with that damn war.

Only thing I don't get is how in the God's green earth people can make a flash about fixing a TV into a political statement of life, universe and everything just because there is two posters on the wall. Oh well.

Anyhow, thanks for the review and sorry for my rant! :)
