Reviews for "Lost Rhapsody 2"

Not bad!

That was pretty good. My only problem with it was that at times you had wonderfully animated scenes while others you had just stills with moving mouths and some times with a hint of squash and stretch or eye movement. Because of this contrast it made the movemnt scenes great but also made the still ones really boring. As a viewer because of the contrast mixed with the realistic style you chose to use I found my self quickly disconected from the piece. I also found that the one part where you had the guy serching the huts holding the gun a bit confusing because at first when he enters the second hut I thought it was still the first because you only showed the one and I was wondering why the door was closed all of a sudden when it was open before, then you did a farther shot to reveal there was 2 huts but then he enters a 3rd hut when there was only 2. I think an establishing shot with 3 huts to start would have been a better choice.

Dude, if you want to argue with the scene direction on an emmy award-winning show, be my guest. What I put in the end is a 100% faithful recreation of the scene from the show, but then my guess is that you haven't really watched so you totally missed the point of the still shots.

hmpf...

1st part was a 1000times better...

How dare you.
Mocking Wierd Al. He is totally funny, his music is just about one of the funnyest i know. His lyrics are great and he can also sing very well. DonĀ“t mock him.

PS. The movie was kind of funny, but not my type.

I'm not a follower of Lost, so I reckon a lot of the humor in this is...lost...on me. However there was a lot of quality put into the rotoscoping of this, must've been a real pain, so kudos on that. Despite that though, I felt that given the amount of time spent on the opening, this movie could've gone the extra mile to rotoscope the hands, because it just looks like lazyness right now.

CapnBob responds:

I'll go back and do that. I charge $25 an hour. At that rate, the video has an overhead of roughly $10,000 thus far. I estimate the changes to bring the video up to the standard of your entertainment dollar will incur another $275 of work. I'm making out an invoice and you will receive the bill shortly. Pleasure doing business with you!

...what was that

Honestly, this has to be the worst thing I've seen in my life. It was really unexpected too. Its all mellow in the beginning and I'm thinking, this is gonna be good... then Weird Al comes on and I'm like, "Why would anyone do this?" You really have to be in the mood for Al, and I certainly wasn't... Even if I was, it would've been horribly boring anyway. Hated it.

CapnBob responds:

If you're really been spending any time watching flash videos and THIS is the worst thing you've ever seen, then the chances of your review being "honest" are about a thousand to one. What you've penned is hyperbole, intended to cause distress in the creator of the video, which in internet terms is generally considered a "flame" or possibly a "troll."

My guess is that you are personally frustrated to see many people enjoying a video that you yourself do not understand, and rather than coming to the conclusion that perhaps your viewpoint is more narrow then you would like to think you decided to vent your anger on someone else. Furthermore, posting this without specific arguments that would prove useful to discussion or debate makes it look like you're just penning a gut reaction without doing any introspection over exactly what about the video makes you feel that way. If you don't know why you feel the way you do, how is your feeling on the matter going to be important to anyone else?

That choice, sadly, lessens the utility of your "review" to that of a mere opinion, which renders it useless as a warning to anyone who would share your viewpoint and utterly meaningless to what appears to be the vast majority of the viewing public.

Try to think about that before typing next time. Ask yourself, "do I have anything important to say about this that anyone in the world besides myself might find valuable?" If the answer is "no," then why bother saying anything at all?
