Better then the first one of these, mad props for all the pop-culture references sprinkled in this one, even tossing in Colin Mokery [sp] for good measure was a nice nod to folks who do insane flash films ;)

The reason for such a high score should be obvious to folks that watch the show in the first place and have caught all the numbers hidden in the flash, I'm not sure I caught them all myself, they do go by rather fast, if you blink you'll miss them, seriously blink and you'll miss 'em.

So many pop-culture references that even I 'LOST' track of them all, go ahead and see if others can catch 'em as well ;)

Still going strong

At first I was completely baffled by the graphics you used... they looked TOO good, especially compared with the simple animutation style in the first. I'm guessing you traced them from the show... looks pretty good.

I was surprised you continued with Weird Al, since I didn't think his random polkas combining all the different songs would still work, but somehow you pulled it off very well. Great use of the four-toed statue leg at the end... man, what was UP with that thing, eh?

I just have one thing I didn't understand. Somewhere near the middle, is there a reason the song messes up at the line "Until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard"?

CapnBob responds:

They're partially traced over photographs from the show, and partially drawn from scratch, with a few of the uglier shots created using flash's bitmap trace function. it's not always immediately apparent which is which.

As for the song messing up... if you've watched the show, then the image of the person "singing" the line should be explanation enough for the garbled sound. Walt was having some problems communicating with Shannon, remember?

One word

Masterpiece

CapnBob responds:

You are far too kind!

Awesome!

Woah, that had me laughing from beginning to end.

I love Lost, I loved the music they were singing to, I loved the Monty Python ending.

I thought that Soundgarden bit was the most clever part, though. The whole magnetic thing sucking all the stuff was just like the real music video. All the music was really well themed, actually. You did a really good job on that!

The part where Walt's voice is all messed up was also really good :)

Good work, man. I hope there's another great piece like that for the next season!

CapnBob responds:

Thank you! I think you may be the first person to comment on the Soundgarden bit, I'm very glad you liked it. The part with Walt's voice was fun to do!

Funny and promising animation

Good work, the animation at the beginning looks really good. It was pretty funny, and I try to follow LOST so lots of good visual hints. That beginning scene that looks a lot like a scanner darkly style was really sweet, it makes me wish that it continued with that style instead of breaking off into the goofy music video it did. Still, entertaining and good you get my thumbs up.
