Reviews for "Fabricated Son"

Best I have heard in a while

I am not realy a big fan of heavy metal but I still thought it was awesome

-Song-
The guitar was amazing.I really wish I could play like. You reall were good going with this song the instruments and everything blended so smoothly and greatly.I really liked the out come of this song. And it was like a non heavy metal song but it was heavy metal at some parts so you had a great balance.

-Vocals-This had a really nice singer and with the song playing in the back grounded and the effects on his voice had great achievements.I have very high expectations for most songs and this just blew me away.

This was added to my favorites list.

Nice one.

Very epic intro, and it only gets better after that - only the chorus is a bit weak, sadly, it's probably caused by the vocal melody - I'd overthink parts of it, sound a bit cheesy, especially about the end of the chorus.
Anyways, good riffs and beats, good vocals, though a bit hard to understand.
You'd really need a better mix here, it would be so much better. xD

What you should try is putting compression on each track (fit to the instruments) and then another compressor on the master track. That gives the mix alot of power and is actually done by alot of famous audio engineers (including my teacher, lol). Just try it, in case you use cubase, the "dance master" preset for the regular compressor works well.

Rated full 5 anyways, it is great after all. ^^

- The Uprising

Dude.

This was pretty cool.
It was kind of like listening to Pink Floyd, but metal. haha. That is fucking great. It really has a cool vibe to it, nice man. Dug the softer parts a lot too. Very well written tune, cool story and the lyrics were pretty deep.

Minor production issues were the only thing I could hear that could be improved upon. Mostly mixing and volumes(some clipping). But fuck, that is some tricky shit sometimes. And it mostly depends on personal tastes as well.

Either way, 5'd and 10'd. Really dug this.

I need to refabricate my ears now.

As I was just getting into this, at the sweepy fades in the intro I was already thinking 'Oh this will be good.' I learned that stuff like that always gets people interested in songs for some reason, which maybe why techno artists get so much recognition for abusing this technique lol. Either way, it's cooler here, in the metal realms. That part also had a fantastic buildup that set the tone of the song, and it transisted well into the next part.

You decided not to keep using those effects as much for the subsequent part, which seems like a good plan and introduce the drums instead. With effects like those, I personally use them all the time, but it's best to relax with them every once in a while, to replenish thier 'wow' factor, I mean, the intro was that much cooler since those effects were present.

The part just after the intro, 0:16 reminded me of something Fanatical would almost do, with the feel to those riffs, they're strong, and musical, but make you feel almost gutteral, and overall wierd. If you can relay an emotional message with just chords and riffs, I guess you've gon somewhere, huh?

Speaking of that guitar. The rythm just seems to be a crunchy slam with cool time signatures but then that switches into extended chords. This is probably the verse/prechorus onto the chorus, which is cool since... Well, I personally think so because I do the same thing lol. The tone on that rythm is really trashing crunchiness of sickness that I want.

But I love what you're doing with the lead. Again, sonmething that Fanatical is common to do, he blends it into the rythm's riffs by making it less louder. Now, some people would hate that, and complain that the lead needs to be louder, but personally, I like that sort of sound, and it definately works here too. Especially in parts, like 0:52 and the breaks.

2:21 Pinch harmonic :D

I don't hear ANY bass. >_< But also, I might've complicated the song too much if it were audible, but I don't hear any of it still.

Oh, boy, now for those vocals and lyrics lol. It might just be me, but your vocal style sounds almost like a metal version of Pink Floyd. I don't know if it's because you just started, but that's what occured to me. Not that I have any problem with that, it's just this song definately ingores the books. xD

Well, for your lyrics, you pronounce them well, as it's a little tough to hear them, but the message they have is alot more. After reading them over, I understand what you're getting at. The social media has basically denounced Christ and blocks everyone in a sense from reaching Him. They bait everyone and make His efforts seem like thier in vain.

'We gave inro greed and caved into lust'

'He died for our sins so they burned us with trust and promises'

Actually, this entire song is moving now that I look at it. You have a masterpiece here, sir, I can't believe that I never heard of this before. OBVIOUSLY you placed so much effort and time into this. \m/

Nice!

Very interesting song. Trashy guitar tone. The chorus is fast and catchy. Clean guitar sounds like Metallica. The double bass drum sounds like an atomic apocalypse!. Superb mixing. No noticeable flaws.
